The Environmental Characterization and Risk Assessment (EC&RA) technical group works with clients at federal, private, and international sites to develop comprehensive environmental monitoring programs and advanced scientific and technological solutions for long-term stewardship of waste sites. Through technical innovation we have increased the efficiency of monitoring programs and developed better techniques for long-term management of hazardous and radioactive wastes.

The EC&RA group is comprised of highly motivated and talented staff focusing on meeting clients' needs in environmental, ecological, biotechnology, and cultural areas. In addition, the staff's expertise include environmental characterization, monitoring, and remediation design studies. The availability of diverse staff enables us to provide a multidisciplinary team approach that builds on the collective capabilities of our team members. Staff are also actively involved in environmental education, public interaction, technical presentations, and professional societies.
